Photograph Presentation, Format & Submission Information

1. All submissions to be sent via email to agpe.fr@gmail.com
1.2 Merits and Competitions: acceptance of all entries is at the absolute discretion of the Competition Secretary or independent judge.
1.3 Critiques: acceptance of all entries is at the absolute discretion of the Competition Secretary.

2. DIGITAL
2.1 Format:
Best quality (100%)
jpg only
Colour space sRGB* (for example IEC61966-2.1)
EXIF data must be present**

2.2 File names: entries should be named. Please do not leave default names.
Add the suffix “-C” for a critique submission, “-M” for a Merits entry or “-OC” for an Own Choice entry.
examples: for a Merits entry “daisy-M.jpg”
for an Own Choice Merits entry “daisy-M-OC.jpg”
for an Own Choice Critiques entry “daisy-C-OC”
2.3 Naming conventions for external Competitions will be advised as appropriate.

2.4 File sizes - to match standard HD (1080p) computer screen resolution:
Landscape – long (horizontal) edge 1920 pixels at 72dpi.
Portrait – long (vertical) edge 1080 pixels at 72dpi.
Square – edges 1080 pixels at 72dpi.

2.5 Entries to be submitted before the advised deadline by email or shared cloud folder if possible. Please contact the Competition Secretary in case of difficulty.

3. PRINT
3.1 Prints should be mounted or framed
3.2 Maximum overall size 500mm x 400mm.
3.3 Prints must be titled (the title of the image only, not a file name or other text) on the top right hand corner of the back to indicate the orientation of the print.
3.4 Entries must be anonymous
3.5 Entries to be submitted before the advised deadline at a club meeting. Please contact the Competition Secretary in case of difficulty.

* standard Red Green Blue. This is the most commonly used standard for displaying images on computer screens. IEC61966-2.1 is the current widely distributed version. Images using Adobe, Pro Photo (or similar), or NTSC profiles may not display accurately. Not to be confused with ICC (International Color Consortium) or ICM (Image Color Management) profiles which are for printers only.

**Exchangeable Image File Format – when a camera captures an image information such as make, model, exposure settings and date are embedded in the image file. Having this available can greatly assist commentary or judging.
